🎶🏡 Let me share the story behind my song, “Harbour Masters House” 🌟

A few years ago, while on tour in Ireland, our band embarked on a long drive after an overnight ferry. During a rest stop at the guest house called the Harbour Masters House in Shannon Harbour, I couldn’t resist picking up my acoustic guitar. As a bird landed on a wire outside the window, inspiration struck, and the song poured out of me. 🎸

When the band woke up, I eagerly played the song for them, and we decided to perform it that night at McIntyres Pub. Little did we know, “Harbour Masters House” would become our anthem for the entire tour! It continues to be the most popular song on Spotify, and I even had the incredible opportunity to perform it live on the Claire Balding Show on BBC Radio 2. 🎤

But the most profound impact came from a comment I received on YouTube. Someone asked if “Harbour Masters House” was about recovery because the lyrics had helped them through their own struggles. This realisation was a powerful moment for me, understanding that a song I wrote on a whim resonated with others in such a profound way. 🙌
